Here's What Outward Bound @ Inter Action Clients Have To Say
I have no hesitation in declaring this camp an unqualified success! There were many elements that contributed to this success including :
Range of activities esp hiking, canoeing and Big Ben which our group participated in
The challenging nature of the activities and the “challenge by choice” approach
Setting up for expeditions
Initial briefing of staff and students
The quality of the equipment used
The good communication between camp staff and college staff
The response and involvement of the students themselves
The catering both in house and on the trail
The natural environment albeit in a drenched condition
This was a fabulous experience for our staff and students, despite the extreme weather conditions experienced the last 24 hours. Our students were fully engaged.
Just wanted to let you know what a fantastic experience we had with you!
Personally I was very impressed with the whole Outward Bound @ Inter Action experience. I totally agree with your motto- When I do. I understand!
You have a unique group of people working with you, who made a less then wonderful situation (flood) much more bearable by being well prepared, flexible and easy going. I felt that there was probably not much your people could not have handled, or have planned for. Hopefully some of our experience will be useful for future planning.
The Classroom with No Walls
Pacific Lutheran College worked with Greg, Graham and the staff at Outward Bound @ Inter Action for almost 2 years to arrive at our 14 day/13 night Outdoor Education program for our year 10 students. It was worth the wait. Our program covers an area of 12,500 square kilometres whilst our 80 students and 5 staff are in the outdoors. This program has become the high point of the set outdoor education program at the college. There are too many positive aspects of the Outward Bound @ Inter Action operation to list here and I fear that I would leave out a very important one if I did so.
We send away students and returned are young adults who were educated in one of the most wonderous, harsh, beautiful and ever changing classrooms that man has had no hand in constructing – The Classroom With No Walls! We, at Pacific Lutheran College are furthering our programs with Outward Bound @ Inter Action as of 2010 where they will oversee our year 8 – 10 outdoor experiences.
Outward Bound @ Inter Action and Pacific Lutheran College will be 2 institutions that will be associated for many years to come.
Outward Bound @ Inter Action is truly one of the leaders in the Outdoor Education, Outdoor Experiences and Outdoor Activity Processing in Australia

"Greg and his competent, well trained staff provide a range of well designed programmes, all set in an extraordinary natural environment students are privileged to enjoy. I have been involved in the outdoor program at St Hilda’s for many years and always leave Outward Bound @ Inter Action with a renewed admiration for Greg and his team. Students never forget the experience which is a wonderful reflection on the staff at the centre and the professional way it is run".

You challenged our students mentally, emotionally and physcially in unique ways within a safe environment. I look forward to next year's camp and it is my intention to be there once again.

"Outward Bound @ Inter Action does not 'penny pinch'. The activity and camping equipment is of a high standard and is well maintained, the food is wholesome and generous and the range of quality experiences offered came at a good price. Outward Bound @ Inter Action programs at Mebbin are definitely VALUE FOR MONEY. The Mebbin property is in a BRILLIANT natural location".
Mike Sullivan, Year 10 Master,Aquinas College, Gold Coast
'I think the fact I have been on 14 expeditions with Outward Bound @ Inter Action over the past 7 years speaks for itself. Many of those were 8 day experiences in successive weeks. I'll be lining up again this year (2008) too!'
Trinity Lutheran College
"At first I was very hesitant about going on retreat(camp) but I am so glad I did and I have to say that Outward Bound @ Inter Action was 'the best three days of my life so far', it taught me a lot not only about myself, but about the people I spend every day with at school.
I went from being too scared to even look at a ladder to being the 3rd person to the top of Big Ben, something unachievable without the support from my peers, teachers and your amazing staff".
John Paul College 2007
"This camp has further inspired me and although short, has matched my expectations and surpassed them. A good balance between recreation and personal development"
Anthony Neenan,Trinity Catholic College 2009
"What I will take away with me is don't 'spoon feed' the kids too much. I have realised that four walls is not the place you get the best out of many kids"
Dave Lawrence,Trinity Catholic College 2009
